Kelsey Alexander

Owner/Director

Miss Kelsey is the owner and director of Bright Beginnings. She has been in childcare for 12 years and has a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Administration. Owning and operating a childcare center has always been Miss Kelsey’s dream. Partnering with families and providing a safe and secure learning environment is one of her favorite parts about her job.

Terra Travis

Assistant Director

Miss Terra is the assistant director of Bright Beginnings. She has been in childcare for 30 years and has been our assistant director since we opened in 2019. Miss Terra says, “building relationships with both parents and children is something that I will always love about my job. I have met so many families over the last 30 years, and many of them I stay connected with today.”

Sue

Lead Preschool Teacher

Miss Sue has been in childcare for 18 years and she has been with Bright Beginnings since we opened in 2019. Miss Sue taught Sunday school for 15 years while also owning a daycare for 8 years. Children are Miss Sues passion and she says, “when you do something you love you will never work again.”

Sonja

Lead Infant Teacher

Miss Sonja has been with Bright Beginnings since we opened in 2019. She attended Bridgewater State College and has been in childcare for over 20 years, many of those years were spent owning and operating her own Child Care Center. Miss Sonja enjoys spending her days with the children watching them learn, explore, and develop relationships with their peers.

Vicki

Lead Toddler Teacher

Miss Vicki has been in childcare for almost six years and graduated from Westbrook College. Miss Vicki has been with Bright Beginnings since 2020. She was a stay-at-home mom to her four children for many years. What she loves the most about children is how they love unconditionally.

Katonya

Lead Pre-K Teacher

Miss Katonya has worked in early childhood for 14 years and has been with us at Bright Beginnings since 2020. Miss Katonya recently completed the required courses to obtain her Child Development Associates Certification. Miss Katonya says, “I love this job because it allows me to teach our future generations and give them the foundation that they need to grow.”

Sarah

Preschool Teacher

Miss Sarah has been in childcare for 10 years and she has been with Bright Beginnings since 2020. Miss Sarah completed two years of Early Childhood Education while she was in high school. She says her favorite thing about child care is watching how much each child grows from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.

Katie

Infant Teacher

Miss Katie has been in childcare for two years and has been with Bright Beginnings since 2022. Miss Katie has completed two years of Early Childhood Education at Region 10. She says “This is just where I want to be. I love working with children and watching them grow and learn.”

Olivia

Miss Olivia has volunteered at her church daycare for 9 years and has been with Bright Beginnings for one year. She is currently attending Liberty University to obtain her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Miss Olivia’s favorite thing about working with children is watching them learn to become independent, and preparing them for their future.

Madison

Young Toddler Teacher

Miss Madison has been in childcare for 6 years and has been with Bright Beginnings for just under one year. She holds an Associates degree in liberal studies, specializing in psychology, and is actively pursuing a certification in behavioral health. Miss Madison says her favorite part about working with children is being able to teach them to be proud of who they are and watching them experience new things.

Miss Kylee

Miss Kylee has been in childcare for 7 years and has been with Bright Beginnings for under one year. Working with children has been her dream since she was a young girl. Miss Kylee says her favorite part about working with children is teaching them and watching their personalities start to form from a young age.
