Kelsey Alexander
Owner/Director
Miss Kelsey is the owner and director of Bright Beginnings. She has been in childcare for 13 years and has a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Administration. Owning and operating a childcare center has always been Miss Kelsey’s dream. Partnering with families and providing a safe and secure learning environment is one of her favorite parts about her job.

Terra Travis
Assistant Director
Miss Terra is the assistant director of Bright Beginnings. She has been in childcare for 30 years and has been our assistant director since we opened in 2019. Miss Terra says, “building relationships with both parents and children is something that I will always love about my job. I have met so many families over the last 30 years, and many of them I stay connected with today.”

Sue
Assistant Teacher
Miss Sue has been in childcare for 18 years and she has been with Bright Beginnings since we opened in 2019. Miss Sue taught Sunday school for 15 years while also owning a daycare for 8 years. Children are Miss Sues passion and she says, “when you do something you love you will never work again.”

Sonja
Lead Infant Teacher
Miss Sonja has been with Bright Beginnings since we opened in 2019. She attended Bridgewater State College and has been in childcare for over 20 years, many of those years were spent owning and operating her own Child Care Center. Miss Sonja enjoys spending her days with the children watching them learn, explore, and develop relationships with their peers.

Vicki
Lead Toddler Teacher
Miss Vicki has been in childcare for almost six years and graduated from Westbrook College. Miss Vicki has been with Bright Beginnings since 2020. She was a stay-at-home mom to her four children for many years. What she loves the most about children is how they love unconditionally.
Katonya
Lead Pre-K Teacher
Miss Katonya has worked in childcare for six years and has been with Bright Beginnings since 2020. She holds her Infant Toddler Credential and is currently working toward obtaining her Preschool Credential. Miss Katonya says, “I love this job because it allows me to teach our future generations and give them the foundation they need to grow”.
Sarah
Assistant Teacher
Miss Sarah has been in childcare for 10 years and she has been with Bright Beginnings since 2020. Miss Sarah completed two years of Early Childhood Education while she was in high school. She says her favorite thing about child care is watching how much each child grows from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.
Kensley
Infant Teacher
Miss Kensley has been in childcare for six years and has been with Bright Beginnings since 2024. She completed two years of Early Childhood Education while in high school and now holds her Early Childhood Certificate. Miss Kensley says her favorite part of childcare is how rewarding it is to watch children’s growth and development and to make a positive impact on their lives.
Morgan
Toddler Teacher
Miss Morgan has been in childcare for three years and has been with Bright Beginnings since 2024. She says working with children brings her so much joy, as they remind her to laugh, be patient, and see the beauty in the small moments in life.
Madison
Lead Preschool Teacher
Miss Madison has been with Bright Beginnings since 2024. She graduated from Stockton University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology. After graduating, she worked with several marine science organizations where she created science curriculums for children. It was through this experience that she discovered her passion for early childhood education. Miss Madison says, “Nothing gives me greater joy than helping kids learn and grow more confident in themselves”.
Sierra
Assistant Teacher
Miss Sierra has been in childcare for seven years and graduated from UMF with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been with Bright Beginnings since 2025. Miss Sierra says her favorite part of teaching is seeing how a child grows and becomes their own person, along with being able to be silly and make them laugh and smile.
